I would first start with removing methods you don't need with the
node build exclude=foo,bar
command and see if that covers your need. Most devs get hung up on mobile perf and forget simple things like optimizing their site images which usually has greater savings.

Is there anything in Lo-Dash that isn't absolutely necessary in a browser such as mobile Safari or Crome for Android?
Yes, there are a couple things that can be removed. I will experiment with inlining methods as well as adding build options for mobile.

Related to #12.

I've updated the jsPerf test to include an early mobile build and the results are great:
The mobile builds are essentially compile-cost free because my iPhone 3.1.3 is roughly 0.2ms, IE 6 0.5ms, IE 8 0.07ms, and Chrome 18 0.02ms.

Nice!

For mobile builds (builds with all compiled code inlined, and IE bug fixes removed) simple do
node build mobile
for custom mobile builds you can simply do:
node build mobile include=foo,bar
Mobile builds are saved to lodash.custom.js
and lodash.custom.min.js
.
I'll clean this up and add it to the README.md after the holiday weekend.
