@smy315 is that something like the search results? https://10up.github.io/wp-component-library/component/search-results/

@smy315 Sounds like you meant having some markup for a standard WP blog post? Markup like the article element with typical WP classes like .entry-header, .entry-content, .entry-title etc? I feel like the format and use of this varies from project to project that this may not be that useful as a component.

Unless you meant something like "cards" where we'd typically use posts in a "grid" type of thing? Like how Bootstrap has cards? http://v4-alpha.getbootstrap.com/components/card/

@timwright12, my thought process with this was that whenever there is a "read more" button on a website, it's usually for a excerpt/teaser for a article. So instead of having just the "read more" markup, thought it would make sense to include other markups that are usually included in a excerpts/teasers. Also, just about every single projects I've worked on at 10up had some sort of blogroll on the homepage/secondary pages.

But this would be a duplicate with https://10up.github.io/wp-component-library/component/search-results/. Using https://techcrunch.com/ and https://9to5mac.com/ as an example, the blogrolls and search results page are identical. Feel free to close.

@RachelRVasquez, I wasn't referring to WP blogs posts specifically. I was simply referring to a list of article teasers that are frequently on homepages.

I think that's a valid thing though since the schema markup for search results is a little different than a generalized blogpost summary. The item (single search result) itself is probably the same, but the component as a whole is different.

Might need some more thought around this as far a structuring sub-components in the filesystem.

I'm on board with this. I see this being useful for a ton of projects. If we do a blogroll component, though, I'd dump the Read More component.

Would like to see a PR for this one, if anyone has time.

@jonbellah Was thinking we could keep the "read more" component, but more of a use-case collection that an entire component since the "read more" is for things other than excerpts and just screen reader text in general? And then the blogroll could be a great example of the read more excerpt wise in WP templating. Thoughts?

PR submitted for the blogroll component. Want to get opinions on the schema as well - found some conflicting resources so I want to ensure all looks good. 😃
