I may have run into this in the past — the app launcher sends some command line flags to the underlying program, and if the program expects those flags have another meaning, hijinks ensue. If your wrapper script was passing the command line along untouched, this could've still happened. I'll see if I'm right this evening, if nobody beats me to it.

It ended up being much simpler, because macargv in the script was taking care of what I mentioned above. All I had to do to get it working was chmod +x Plumb.app/Contents/MacOS/plumb. Maybe the executable bit was lost in the move from svn?

@rsc: no worries. It's not essential; just a convenience.

@mccoyst: I tried your suggestion, but the plumb file was already executable here. In other words, still no luck.
