Transitioning from a 14-year tenure in the print media industry to my first role as a graduate developer in April 2023 was a monumental leap 😁. During my time at CYF, I delved deep into the intricacies of the web, learning and building my skills in technologies like Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL. Collaborating on the development of Pitch Pow, an MVP for the Center of Entrepreneurship & Innovations at the University of the Western Cape, served as a testament to my newfound skills. While my focus initially gravitated towards backend development, I seized every opportunity to broaden my horizons🌅.

Post-graduation, my journey of self-improvement continued unabated. Embracing MySQL, React Native, Astro, and Apollo GraphQL, I embarked on a relentless pursuit of knowledge. 🔭 Currently immersed in mastering PHP/Laravel and MongoDB, I relish the incremental growth that accompanies each new skill acquired🌱. A foray into Figma provided invaluable insights into the realm of UX/UI design, enhancing my holistic understanding of development.
