My take on this is you should make this plugin modularized and fully configurable. The full spectrum of accessibility options are astounding, but not every situation demands this. For my situation, I needed interactive transcription to sync with an audio file. Having CC was redundant and descriptions wasn't applicable. Space is an issue, so I used JW Player's ui and had to heavily modify ableplayer's huge ui. I used the UMP version because I couldn't figure out how to use interactive transcription on my own HTML with Ableplayer 3.

You actually could attain what you're describing though with the current version of Able Player using "lyrics mode". Here's an example: http://ableplayer.github.io/ableplayer/tests/test7c.html

In general, buttons are only displayed if they're needed. You never get a Caption, Description, or Sign button unless those features are available with the video (and they aren't included at all with the audio player).

Hi @terrill thanks for replying and I apologize for my tardy reply back (I honestly didn't expect one back so promptly). The "lyrics mode" was the original model for my interactive transcript project, but what I'm doing now exceeds the demos.

At your convenience could you do me the honor of going to this test page, please? My company (Globalyceum.com) has been growing and so has the range of students. Despite giving my boss early warnings about accessibility and how it's going to bite us in the @ss latter on, she opted for a different approach in the beginning and now we are scrambling to meet the demands and comply with VPAT 508. You've been an incredible help in this endeavor, thank you.
