When I receive income (say £1000) during a month it appears as “to budget £1000” in that month (and future months). I then select “hold for next month” and “to budget” for this month becomes £0 and “to budget” for next month remains £1000. In other words I am reserving this month’s income to spend next month. If I have already budgeted expenses for next month then the “to budget” figure will of course reduce accordingly. ~ kidglove57

If you have income this month, it will show up in the "to budget" for both this month and next month and all future months until it is budgeted. The "hold for next month" will remove it from being available this month. It's a little confusing if you're looking at a multi-month view.

If my "to budget" amount isn't 0, I'm tempted to budget it. If i "hold for next month" it removes that temptation. ~ shall0pass
