 Unfortunately, the only way to get this behavior would be to create a schematic drawing of the permaproto (simply adding connectors in the schematic view will not work). Such a drawing, with over 400 individual connection points, would be unwieldy and confusing to use. Fritzing has special internal functions for breadboards to avoid such a situation -- though the permaprotos look like breadboards, they do not have access to these functions because they are external parts.
 If you really need the automatic wires in the schematic view, I would recommend you use the Fritzing breadboard part during the design phase, and then transfer them over to the permaproto.

Thanks, probably not worth the effort just to have the PCB view match what I am actually using.
