How are you setting AssemblyVersion?

2. Where are you doing that? In a target? How does that target look?

In the .csproj I have this

    <AssemblyVersion>$(MinVerMajor).$(MinVerMinor).$(MinVerPatch).0</AssemblyVersion>
    <FileVersion>$(MinVerMajor).$(MinVerMinor).$(MinVerPatch).0</FileVersion>
    <IncludeSymbols>true</IncludeSymbols>
    <SymbolPackageFormat>snupkg</SymbolPackageFormat>
  </PropertyGroup>
  ...
</Project>
