This seems to be related to this same issue - if you change a top level menu link to an image, the link does not work when clicking the image. This affects the same browsers as the issue above (ie, the link works fine in Chrome 32.0.1700.107 and Safari 5.1.7, but does not work in Firefox 27, IE 10, or Opera 12.16). It will work only if you click the padding area surrounding the image.
Also like the issue above, this only affects top level menu items - image links in the drop down menu work in all five browsers.

I'm not a coder, so have no idea what this breaks, but hopefully it helps save some time?
If I remove:
.on('click.accessible-megamenu', $.proxy(_clickHandler, this))
from line 355, it seems to stop both the issues above.
