homey-netscan's Issues

I have a problem

What does error ECONNREFUSED mean?
Sometimes i get dissconnected and marked as offline.
But im connected to my wifi.
Its aproximately everything from 5 Times a Day to 30 Times a Day

Works only half

I've installed Net Scan and used TCP connect with my computer on a port that I allowed in my windows firewall. I can see when the computer goes online and offline with a delay from 20-30 seconds.

When I do the same trick on an other computer, then it doesn't monitor it.

What could be the problem?

Which method is used for ping?

When I use Net Scan to ping a NIBE SMO-S40, the result is unavailable. Pinging it from a Linux prompt from an iMac or from an iPad with the app Net Analyser the result is ok. All devices are on the same subnetwork. So the different results might be due to different ping technologies: ICMP, ARPPING, etc?. So my question is, which technology uses the Homey app “net Scan”

Port monitoring doesn't seem to work

I was hoping to monitor my internal web server with this. IP monitoring seems to work fine, but not port. I can access the TCP port (8000) by web browser and telnet, but the app claims it's down.

Is this a known problem? Any workaround?

Not working on 2023 Homey?

Hello, I cannot get this to work on 2023 Homey. It always says ip not reachable even though I know it is. Any ideas?

Everything I add is off-line

I run Homey 7.2.1, and have just installed Net Scan 2.0.4.

No matter what I add on internal ip's it tells me the state is off-line. Both on IP and Port scan.

I can ping, and i can port scan with other tools that finds them fine :-)

Keep up the good work.

Power consumption when ON and OFF

Hello

I use your app to detect if devices are powerd on or not
I wanted to fill the power consumption value in Homey, but it result in always consuming this value of watt, not only when the device is connected

Would it be possible to have two possible power values (when ON and when OFF, for like standby mode)
And to activate the corresponding power consumption depending on the state of the device ?

I know a little of programming in NodeJS, I can help if you don't have the time :)

Have a good day, and thanks for this app !

only half works

i can get the app to work for when my computer turns on. but it doesn't detect the computer has turned off, until i restart homey. i have tried different tcp port numbers for my computer, and get the same result.
if i add my computerusing the ip address device. it doesn't detect either on or off.

Support for Homey Insights

Please add support for Homey Insights as it will be very useful to see the up and down times. Something like 0 and 1 values in time.

Reports device in other subnet online (while it isn't)

Situation: Netscan device is in other subnet then Homey controller. ICMP is allowed between the two subnets, no NAT.
Then Netscan reports device as online, while it isn't. After some seconds it returns to offline.

Send you a diagnostic report, maybe it helps?

I changed the Unreachable checks from 1 to 3, timeout 5, check interval 10, while that doesn't have anything to do with the online reporting.
