At this point the docs are missing some details. I think you have to create a collection (e.g. news or gallery) and then add entries to them. That would be your pages. But how do you retrieve them via URL? How to build a navigation menu etc.?

cockpit is not like known content management systems. cockpit provides a backend to manage content and an api to access the managed content. so it leaves the frontend implementation completely up to you. this what's making it so flexible.

Thanks for the reply. I am looking for a very lightweight CMS (like Perch or Pulse) that can be dropped into an existing static HTML site. (The reason I found your project in the first place was from a forum comment where you responded to someone else asking for this same kind of thing).
But I can understand that you want to keep this separate from the site implementation, because that can be very useful in some situations as well. Perhaps when the documentation on building add-ons gets put up, I could try creating a front-end "sitemap" addon to serve this purpose.
