apt install libffi6를 했더니 libffi6 is already the newest version(3.2.1-4)이라고 합니다

make install 로 설치하시려거든 /usr/local/bin 디렉토리에 쓰기 권한이 있어야 합니다.
make 하시면 현재 디렉토리에서 빌드하여 사용할 수 있습니다.

해결됐다니 다행입니다. 권한 문제는 보통 시스템에 설치할때는 sudo 등으로 권한을 획득해 설치하곤 합니다.
