hmm..does it even need to be an angular specific module? AngularJS license allows us to take part of it and publish it, right?

We'd need to implement it in a way where you could have a unique set of unique ids for as many different things as you want.

So it would have to be a uidFactory() or something:

var nextUidFn = new $uidFactory();
var uid = nextUidFn();

Perhaps we should just open a PR in Angular core for a $uidFactory service first, and see if they'd want to merge it?
