Hey @Morente5, the support to be able to use the theme vars as css vars is experimental, when we have better steps on how to try it I will update this issue.

From what I see it has nothing to do with css variables in your proect itself. The only thing it does is this:

@if ($nb-enable-css-variables) {
    $theme: convert-to-css-variables($theme) !global;
 }

So only if it Is set to true it does run that function. From what I see the function would convert scss variables to css variables. --var(X)
Are you sure your using css variables ? Not scss variables ?

I think it converts theme variables into CSS variables but some postcss processing configuration in webpack gives an error.

Anyway, there is nothing that stops you from using css variables. Your able to use them :) Without setting it to true.
