There are a few things you can try.

  1. Run deploymeteor logs <env> in the app directory on your local machine. Check for error messages.
  2. Run deploymeteor restartproxy to restart the proxy server (only matters if you're connecting to the proxy hostname rather than the true hostname and port).
  3. Run deploymeteor restart <env> in the app directory on your local machine to restart the app environment on the server without doing another push.
  4. Make sure the port you specify is open in your AWS security group settings.

Also, I would try to get it working through the real EC2 hostname + port before trying through the hostname. The proxying is an extra layer of complexity. If none of that works, let me know and I can try to think of what else to do. I've wrestled with ECONNREFUSED errors for various reasons, and I can't remember all of them right now.

Actually, I did and found meteor logs that pointed out a minimum node version 0.10.1 but I thought the script grabbed the latest? Anyway thanks for the script, I didn't get a chance to check it again.

Yes, the script installs the latest from the EPEL repo, so maybe there's some issue with the repo right now, or maybe the installation failed. Strange.
