I wish to make something out of Tailwind OKLCH before Tailwind 4 releases. If not, I'll see what actually gets added in 4 and then alter the lib accordingly.

I plan on making more contributions to FOSS projects, especially for tools I already use.

Fix NaN conversion

return value.toFixed(precision).replace(/\.?0+$/, '');

The NaN check was removed by accident. NaN should be turned to zero.

Find a better alternative to addDefaults

AddDefaults is undocumented and internal to tailwindcss. We should find an alternative to it.

Create declaration files for used tailwind libs

There are two functions used by the plugin that are imported from tailwindcss/lib. They don't have declarations.

Pin Tailwind version to 3.x

Tailwind v4 will support oklch out of the box. https://tailwindcss.com/blog/tailwindcss-v4-alpha

It is unclear if it will support the utilities as well. But for now it looks like we only need this plugin until 4 is out.

Find alternatives to tailwind internal libs

As mentioned in #14 two internal functions are used, that are exported tbf, but probably shouldn't be used by plugins. They don't look too complicated, so we can probably get away with something simple.

Upstream had 2 issues open about missing utilities. Investigate to see if we can add them.
