As there is a plan to implement vertical scrolling (#9), my issue is not reasonable. An option to disable mouse scroll zooming is enough.

Yes indeed, vertical scrolling isn't yet implemented.
As for the mouse scrolling: to solve this I want to give the timeline an active/inactive state. normally the timeline is inactive, and doesn't react on mouse scrolls on the web page. As soon as you click the Timeline, it becomes active (visible with a blue border around it like input boxes) and captures mouse scrolls to zoom. Clicking outside the Timeline makes it inactive again. Same as I did with plots here.
