I think the new allowedToMove option could help you out. http://visjs.org/docs/network.html#Nodes_configuration

Let me know if you run into problems. Also look at example 21, data manipulation. There we add a node at a defined position and include it in the simulation.

Hi Kostas,

In the next release the allowedToMove will be seperated into allowedToMoveX and allowedToMoveY. If you wish to use it as you have allowedToMove, you'll need to supply both the allowedToMoveX:true,allowedToMoveY:true when creating a node. This is required for the upcoming new method storePosition.
