That is a good point, I have not considered the labels. I will look into this.

Many thanks!

The labels are now positioned at the center of the curve as would be expected. Release containing this fix will be today or tomorrow
from vis.
Wow, that's was very quick!
It will be very helpful for me once the fix will be released (I saw that version 0.60 doesn't include the fix).
Thank you very much!

The fix will be included in version 0.6.1. Our company internet is
currently protesting so we will release 0.6.1 when it is restored. We hope
as soon as possible.

Alex

Thank you.
Appreciate it.

Hi Alex,
Some of my nodes have long labels and they hide the edge label since the edge starts at the center of the node and not from the node's edge (and then the center of the edge is behind the node itself):
Thanks.

Hi Orik,
This is tricky :) I set the arrow sources to go to the centers per #55. Though I think this situation is more important, I'll change it back.

Alex

Alex, If I didn't mention it yet, I have to tell you that your library is amazing and your service is even more than amazing. Thank you so much!
I hope I'm not getting in trouble with joaofgf ;)

Ori.

Hi Orik, I'm glad you enjoy our libary. Correctly handling big nodes was something we wanted to look into but since there are just too many ways to do this (all data is different) we decided the configurePhysics was probably the way to go. It is still something we're looking into, but for now, the legibility of labels supersedes the esthetic appeal of them going to the center.
from vis.
I tried to solve that issue by playing with the 'configurePhysics' options and it can be solved by working with longer edges, but since I have large nodes, the edges have to be quite long and then very few nodes are displayed in the canvas. So I agree that the legibility is more important and that the edges should start from the edge of the node by default. Maybe you can add a configuration option for edges to start from the center for people who are using transparent images and care about esthetics?
from vis.
Adding such an option would essentially be ignoring the problem caused by big nodes. We'll look into a more elegant solution. In the meantime, the transparent image problem can very easily be solved by making an aesthetically pleasing border around the image.

Agree. Thanks!
