Hi Kurtybain,
I'm glad you appreciate the library :) As of the current state of the simulation, it is not possible to separate multiple edges the same way we do with the smooth edges solution. The reason for this is that the repulsion model, used to space the hierarchical layout does not play nicely with the support nodes we use for the smooth edges. I'll discuss this scenario with the team on Monday.
A current solution for you could be to style those edges as arrows, so you have an arrowhead on both sides.
