i have the same problem on the RPi Zero 1 W.
error log: "[INFO] waiting for bettercap API to be available ..."

I installed 1.7.5 (I don't see a 1.7.6) on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W (and on a Raspberry Pi 3B+) and I can get to bettercap ui just fine with the username and password defined in the config.toml file, so I cannot reproduce your problem, I would guess you have an issue with your config.toml file

I'm also having this issue on 1.7.5 and 1.7.6. Getting "connection refused" error in the browser. This is happening with both Bluetooth and PC connection.
