You could use function os.tmpdir() to get system's default directory for temporary files. It should work on all systems.

path.join(os.tmpdir(), 'db.sqlite')

Ah, you are totally right. Cloning this project won't work as-is on Windows.

The reason is, I use by default sqlite, which accesses /tmp/db.sqlite, in a folder which obviously doesn't exist on Windows: https://github.com/amaurymartiny/login-with-metamask-demo/blob/master/backend/src/db.js#L7

Two solutions:

1. Change the above line to a location on your windows drive
2. Use another dialect than sqlite in sequelize: MySQL, pg...

PR welcome to do a simple check windows/*unix and choose accordingly a correct db path.
