A counterpart of:
template< class ForwardIt, class T >
ForwardIt lower_bound( ForwardIt first, ForwardIt last, const T& value );
is needed that uses a unary predicate instead of value. The signature is likely the following:
template< class ForwardIt, class T, class UnaryPredicate >
ForwardIt lower_bound( ForwardIt first, ForwardIt last, UnaryPredicate p ); // maybe name it lower_bound_if()?
It is unclear, however, whether it makes sense or is possible in the framework of binary search where what we operate with is a operator<
instead of operator==
.
