that's interesting - thanks satra

i think run time will reduce to about 10 hours for ants example once we get floating point computation going

and memory footprint will, of course, be reduced.

thanks hans - fyi - after the floating point version is crated, i'd like to make a release

thinking of calling it "Nazca" or maybe "Stan" --- or maybe something that marks the news of the day

going for kind of apple inspired release names .... one thing we need is someone who can make a .exe release on windows ---

do you guys know of anyone with windows packaging skills? we've done it before (obviously) but dont currently have a machine / windows guy.

I took a look at this branch, Hans. Considering the significant changes required, what are the plans for integrating this into master? I don't have anything to propose, just wondering what the next steps were and if I could help out at all.

There is no plan right now.

  1. The tests currently pass
  2. More tests are needed for new features
  3. Careful code review by You and Brian, then we'll make a pull requests.
  4. Finally, It needs to be you or Brian that does the merge (or your OK for me to do it).

We need to wait for ITKv4.4.0 final release before the ITK changes needed can be pushed. It might be several weeks before this is completed.

Hans
