Yes, for now on , it's a limit from dubbo , placeholder feature will be enhanced.

Spring placeholders support nested properties like dubbo.registry.address = ${zookeeper.address} by default as long as zookeeper.address is defined.

So the value of dubbo.registry.address should be correct if it is resolved by Spring instead of dubbo itself, e.g. by passing the placeholder to org.springframework.beans.factory.config.ConfigurableBeanFactory#resolveEmbeddedValue

Or, as this is for spring boot starters, we could also let Spring Boot do the dirty work, e.g. use org.springframework.boot.context.properties.ConfigurationProperties to inject the property
