Yes came here to comment this same issue. Also on my Linux Mint (and Ubuntu) the chrome program is chromium-browser.

In general I couldn't get the preview command to work.

Without --browser flag

$> apiary preview --path="doc/api_docs.apib"
Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

With --browser flag

$> apiary preview --path="doc/api_docs.apib" --browser=chrome
