Ahh, that was the way dzil did it in the old version. Starting in dzil v3 it was refactored into the global config.ini file. Yes, the dzil docs is lacking, sorry! You should update to the latest dzil on CPAN then try running "dzil build" or something in your dist. It is supposed to spit some blurb about a global config missing and help you to set it up.

If it doesn't work you should talk with the dzil author, rjbs. Please let me know if you still have more problems! :)

Both methods work in dzil 3. It's nice to have the PAUSE credentials in a separate file, so I can keep my ~/.dzil on GitHub and not worry about leaking my password. :)

So I just realized my ~/.pause file had a line "use WOLVERIAN" instead of "user WOLVERIAN". Might be that's the cause. (;

Yeah, it should be "user WOLVERIAN" but the code definitely doesn't look at ~/.pause

I've added the code and it should be on CPAN soon. Please let me know if it works for you, thanks!
