collapsed menu icon does not work with cornerstone update 3.2.5

After performing the update, the collapsed menu icon for my site (www.siupinghealing.com) doesn't respond on any browser including my iPhone. I have since rolled the update back.
My version of cnr is 2.1.7.

Creating A Link In single.php That Goes To Post's Parent Section Page

Hello Archetyped, Thank you for creating Cornerstone it really expands the capability of Wordpress to a website structure that I have been searching for. Well done!
I am a newbie to Wordpress and PHP so I am fumbling my way around as I learn.
I would like to create a link at the bottom of each post that takes the reader back to the post's parent cornerstone section (page). Would it be possible to put something in the Single Post template (single.php) file?

As an example if there were pages pets:dogs and a post titled "pugs_snore" in section "dogs". Could some code automatically create some text "Return to dogs" and link to the "dogs" page at the bottom of the "pugs_snore" post?

I see some functions called "cnr_get_featured", "get_path", and "get_parents". Would any of these work?

Cannot Delete

Searching the history, I see this has been an issue for a few other people, and their issues were closed and marked invalid, not resolved. Please see screenshot below, which includes the title tag of the page, "Cornerstone" this is part of your page builder.

I attempted to insert a code block, which rendered as text, and now has left a grey bar across the hero image of my site. I am unable to move this to another section, or drop it to the bottom as at least a temporary solution.

Please fix your page builder, write now it is a page wrecker. Looking forward to a swift resolution.

Can't update Cornerstone

Cornerstone is not letting me delete anything so I tried updating but I am getting an error, "Update Failed: Update package not available."

The main problem that I need to solve is that the social wall stopped working on the homepage and I was trying to delete it to re-add it but I can't delete it. If there is a better solution to fixing this, I am all ears!

Cornerstone crashing website

Hi,

We are in the process of moving our hosting to a cloud service with United Hosting. We are in initial testing and have found that Cornerstone is crashing the site when activated. It is a WordPress site running X-Theme. All is working fine on the existing hosting account.

Pagination on Section Page

Love the plug-in. It made Wordpress work wonderfully with our site's (www.mco.org) diverse audiences, so big thanks!

We have issue that I've been unable to resolve: On Section pages, I can't get pagination to work.

We're using:

• Wordpress 4.4 english/Canada
• Hueman Theme - most recent (http://presscustomizr.com/hueman/)
• All plug-ins are up to date, including WP-PageNavi, which is recommended by the Hueman Theme, but the issue remains even without WP-PageNavi on.

I've attached my revised loop code, which appears on theme's Child Menu Template
HUE-CORNERSTONE.txt. Most of the code comes from content-standard.php of the theme, too. I'm not a developer by any stretch.

There are many, many more posts in that section that are accessible only through search.

Posts not showing up on pages identified by "sections"

I am using Twenty-fourteen. I added the Cornerstone plugin, and the new column "section" shows up for posts. I changed some existing posts so that the section corresponds to the page I want them in. Those that were previously tagged as "featured" showed up when I clicked on the featured grid item on the home page. But if I clicked on a page in the menu, nothing was present on the page.

So, I thought maybe it only works for new posts. I added a new post and put it in a page different from the others. Now it and all the others show up as featured items on the home page, but it does not show up on its selected page. Interestingly, the "featured" tags are now gone on the dashboard posts listing. Does Cornerstone make the most recent posting in a section the post that is featured in the grid on the home page of Twenty-fourteen?

Any ideas? I don't see anything identifying the content type for any of the pages. Thanks.

installing cornerstone

I am not a technical person. I have downloaded a website theme that uses cornerstone. When I try to active it, I get the following error: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. Simple responses are very much appreciated.

Problems with adding sections

I have tried to create new sections for a template I have just purchased however when I try to add new sections they do not appear in the workspace to the right. As a result I cannot add any elements to the page. How do I fix this problem?

Editing with cornerstone not an option on all pages

When I click options on my menu such as "About me", the page pops up but then the option to edit with cornerstone is not available at the top left corner.

Therefore, I went directly to pages to attempt to pull it up there. However, the page was not listed there.I don't know why it is not being recognized as a page. The thing is none of my pages are being recognized as pages and the only ones that are pages that I create that are linked up with the menu options. Therefore, the only way that people would be able to access it is if they were to type in that exact URL- which is not going to happen.

When I tried to create the page by entering in the same URL as the About me page, it created it, but it not only was a different page, but I still could not edit with cornerstone. I'm beyond confused because it seemed for everyone else that I have talked to, theirs just worked.

query_posts with post_type of "post" pulls in all post / content types

Hi Sol... me again (sorry).

I think there's a small issue with Cornerstone and query_posts with post_type set. It works perfectly for any custom post type (eg when set to event) but when set to "post" all content is retrieved (including events / venues etc etc).

I've uninstalled all other plugins and I'm fairly sure it's a small issue with Cornerstone (the exact same query works when CS is disabled).

Duplicating a page with Cornerstone enabled doesn't work

As part of our design workflow we like to create a template page (e.g. a "service" page) and then we'll duplicate that page 10 times if there are 10 services.

We use the plugin "Duplicate Post": https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-post/ to achieve this.

However, whenever we try to duplicate posts/pages that have Cornerstone enabled, the page seems to "forget" that it is a cornerstone page and we're left with a blank page.

It would be great if Cornerstone played nicely when duplicating, or you guys introduced a quick and easy way to duplicate a post/page or copy a post/page to a new draft

Can't delete sections (when popout prompt appears from left side of screen)

Hello there-
I am setting up a webpage using Cornerstone and have hit an impasse. I cannot delete sections. For example, I use the template feature and select a section to add to my site page. But after I add it, I decide I don't like it and want to delete it. When I click the small garbage can icon by the section (see screenshot 2), a column on the left hand side of the screen pops out and asks "Are you sure you want to delete this row along with all it's contents?" along with an orange button that says "Yep" and a grey button that says "nope". Neither button responds to being clicked. Which is preventing me from confirming the deletion of the section.
I finally found another way to save the page, via the link along the bottom of the page. Is there another way to delete sections, or way to fix this so it works properly?

Cornerstone tab not showing up

Hi,

I have downloaded cornerstone plugin and have installed it on my current website theme "Boston".
Cornerstone is already installed and activated on my website, however, I cannot see the "cornerstone" tab whenever I try creating a new post or page. What should I do?

I have already tried deleting it and re-installing again, but that did not solve the problem.

No links in title of posts in sections

I got the sections up and working but the titles of posts in those sections aren't linked to the post. So if I go to the App Review section, there is one post, but I can't click on it to take me to the blog post. See: https://thatmacnerd.com/app-reviews/.

I have a lot of plugins installed. But that isn't the issue.

I am on Chrome on macOS, latest of everything.

I also added already written content to a section. I don't know if I add new content to a section, if you will be able to click that post in a section and then be taken to that post or not.

Am I doing something wrong?

Cannot delete

After I create an element using Cornerstone, but want to delete it, I click on delete and when I click on 'yep' or 'nope' nothing happens. It freezes up. It was working but stopped yesterday, for some reason.
I have purchased the x theme, but am using it on another wordpress theme, since it's such a great backend builder.

Cornerstone Not Saving

When I make a correction to a page with Cornerstone it does not save. The green ribbon that displays that a save has been made shows up, but the content that is changed never saves. Why won't Cornerstone allow save changes made to our webpages?

Editing page.php in theme twenty fifteen

I have tried every which way to edit the code using the excellent tutorial you provided-

but have had no luck. Obviously I am doing it wrong, unless the code is different in theme twenty-fifteen. I would like the page (section) to have a paragraph under the title on the page, and Title and Excerpt of the posts displayed (similar to the picture on the tutorial). For example:

Cornerstone Tab Not Visible in Editor

Hi. Just installed Cornerstone. It is activated, but the tab is not showing up in next to Visual and Text when editing either a post or a page. I have the very latest version of WP and Cornerstone. The theme is Hueman. I tried it with all other plugins deactivated, but no luck.

Updated Cornerstone and Now it's Not Working

I updated my Cornerstone in Wordpress.org and now even though it's activated as a plugin, when I hover over my blog posts and pages, "Edit with Cornerstone" doesn't appear anymore and all of my posts I had created and edited in Cornerstone are now just in the regular editor and not in cornerstone format.

I deactivated, deleted, and reinstalled and reactivated but it's still the same issue.

URL slug different on blog page and on post

Hi There,

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job. It's really great plugin that I use all the time.

I am not sure if this is an issue or I do something wrong but previewing the blog page my URL looks like this:
http://someplace.com/nicholsons-intro/nicholsons-news-media/

And clicking on any post on this blog page my URL looks like this:
http://someplace.com/nicholsons-news-media/nicholsons-intro/sunt-in-culpa-qui-officia-deserunt/

The strange part is that the nicholsons-intro/nichoslons-news-media/ are the other way around on single post article while they should preserve the order as per the blog page.

Do you know why is this happening / how can I sort this out?

We recently added WooCommerce Plug In - which works with JetPack Plug In - and when I activate Jet Pack I am not able to edit our site with Cornerstone.

we have the X Theme -

Can't delete sections in Cornerstone

Hello. I am attempting to edit a website that was designed by WordPress and Cornerstone. However, I am unable to delete sections on pages that are already published. Both my WordPress and Cornerstone are updated to the newest version.

Videos Will Not Unpause

Hello! I am using your Cornerstone plugin this website http://www.masterymomentseekers.com/ for content behind a membership wall (please get in touch with me to get login info if you need to see behind the scenes) and the strangest thing: videos entered through Cornerstone can be paused, but then they cannot be unpaused. I have tested across multiple browsers, I have disabled all other plugins, and I have also tried embedding the same video on a page without cornerstone with all other plugins enabled and that works just fine.

Sidebar widget is not appears in the editor if using gutenberg

The plugin seems working good on latest wp! But there's an issue where if i use the new wp editor 'gutenberg', the sidebar widget to choose the section is not appearing there

Easily mitigate by disabling gutenberg, but can you help check and fix it?

I just purchased Theme X and transferred my web to new hosting and I installed Theme X, all the plugins are activated except Cornerstone.
It tells me I need to activate it and when I do, I get this error:

Unable to delete in Cornerstone

I haven't be able to delete any elements in Cornerstone this week. Example: I added a feature box to a column just now as a test. When I attempt to delete it, nothing happens. In order to get rid of the element, I have to refresh the whole page and start over from whenever it was last saved.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

WPEngine.com is forcing users to upgrade to PHP version 7.2. Does this plugin support 7.2?

Fatal Error - CNR_Content_Utilities not found

I'm getting this error - I had to migrate from a hosting setup with multisite on the root folder to multisite setup on a sub-folder... Could that be the issue? I've tried deleting and re-installing the plugin and get the same error.

Uppercase content type does not work

If you create a content type with uppercase letters then CNR won't work. Meta boxes won't be added to the edit form. The reason is the content type id passed in the url is always lowercase, thus when trying to match the content type registered with the content type in the url it fails because they have different cases.
Solution change the Content type constructor to make the id lowercase

Ex:
fails because "Topics" starts with a uppercase letter.

$topic =& new CNR_Content_Type('Topic');

Solution:
add strtolower in constructor of class CNR_Content_Base, line 78.

$id = strtolower(trim($id));

Blocks: Import JSON - Says file is invalid

I'm attempting to import a JSON file for the blocks but I get the error message: Invalid Resuable Block JSON file. I've validated the file. So why am I getting this error?

Permalinks / Yoast / XML sitemaps

After changing the permalink structure to the ideal "Structured" option, the permalinks in the post sitemap that Yoast generates (post-sitemap.xml) are broken. e.g. https://example.com/work/%postname%/. Note how %postpath% gets parsed, but%postname% doesn't.

I haven't explored the source in depth yet, so I'm not sure how hard it'd be to fix this... But it'd be great if it could play nicely with the auto sitemap generation that Yoast provides, especially since it's such a popular plugin. The only workaround I could think of in the meantime is to create / update the sitemaps manually, but that isn't ideal for bigger sites or for non tech saavy clients... Is there any other workaround that I've missed?

Cornerstone Installation

I've downloaded Cornerstone plugin for Wordpress 4.7.3, and activated it, but when I open Page editor, no button appears. Is there an installation step I'm missing?

Sections are not populated to permalink

Plugin works fine for older posts - when I am trying to create a new post, I select a section and then type a post name. The only thing populated to the permalink is the post name. I have permalinks set to structured. I have also attempted changing and saving back to structured with no effect.

Cornerstone, reverse posts on page

Your plugin is awesome, works wonderfully. I need to reverse the order of the posts on ONE page. If that is impossible, I'd like to reverse the order for all pages. I have gingerly poked around the code, and played with loops, but I can't seem to make it work right. Can you offer any advice on:
(1) making a reverse order post loop, and
(2) logic to control the order by page?

Retrieve posts from sections

Is it possible to retrieve posts from a particular section? I have setup pages and added posts to sections. But would like to have latest posts from each section on the homepage. Is this possible?

When publishing a post, field guid in DB-table wp_post is corrupt

I posted this also in WP-Forum:

URGENT!!! URGENT!!! URGENT!!!, @archetyped

I found out that the content https://mydomain.tld/automatisch-gespeicherter-entwurf/ is written in the guid field of the wp_post table to all posts when published. ‘automatisch-gespeicherter-entwurf’ means ‘automatically-saved-draft’.

If I deactivate Cornerstone, it works. (wp_post->guid: https://mydomain.tld/?p=1234)
The problem is that feeds are recognized as invalid because the same guid appears in all posts of the feed.

PLEASE REMOVE ASAP or announce a workaround promptly. Thank you very much!

EDIT: Just only saving a post without publishing forces this issue...

First off, thanks for the plugin.. seems promising so far!

I'm having an issue where posts that are only supposed to be displayed on my 'work' page are showing on my 'news' page. I have a feeling this is because my 'news' page is set as my 'Posts Page' but I wanted to verify it with you guys.

Do I need to disable the 'Posts Page' linkage and just have my 'news' page formatted as a standard page?

the delete function in my cornerstone is not working.

cornerstone always want to connect to wordpress admin

When i want to change a page in my word press blog, I press "Pages", then "Edit with Cornerstone" and instead of opening the page like before, now it ask me to enter admin and password of may /wp-admin page, and when i do so, it goes directly to the website and not to the cornerstone page... any idea of what is happening ??? At the beginning all was ok, all the rest is ok and the problem is only when i try to use cornerstone.
