I am using R Studio under Ubuntu 19.04. I tried to install your packages with devtools.
Restarting didn't work.

I had an error with backports::import(), and frankly don't know how to fix. I've amended the package to use install.packages().

Please try again and let me know if you're still unable to install.

I am now able to install it, thanks for the workaround.
By the way, the former error wasn't specific to Ubuntu and it was reproducible on Manjaro as well.
