Would be great to see this feature implemented! The result would mean having all database operations in one place rather than having to sync permissions after running apply. e.g. currently I have to do: atlas schema apply .. && psql --file ...

Hey @bodinsamuel 👋

I think this is a really useful feature and already thought about adding it a few weeks ago. I'll come up with a design proposal for it soon and will update you.

Of course, if you're interested in contributing I'll be happy to work with you on it 😎

@bodinsamuel really love the suggested API. Feels very natural to me!

Agree that role management is super important. For me, we have a read_only role that we grant access to all the tables in the database in a, you guessed it, read-only fashion. Like this...

ALTER DEFAULT PRIVILEGES IN SCHEMA "abc" GRANT SELECT ON TABLES to 'role';

So, I wouldn't want just object-level permissions capability. Ideally, I'd want default permission granting capability as well.

@a8m Was there ever any traction on the design proposal here?
