Absolutely. Sorry for the lack of documentation.
For testing purposes, it's probably easiest to fetch data from,
https://metrics.torproject.org/data.html
The v3consensuses correspond to data/consensus
. The exit lists are public/exit-addresses
. Once you have those two, you can run exitips.py
to produce data/exit-policies
.
Another method of obtaining the consensus is from a running Tor instance. Copy the cached-consensus
from the data dir. There's a good description of the necessary configs in the stem docs cause you generally only download the microdesc-consensus, https://stem.torproject.org/tutorials/mirror_mirror_on_the_wall.html#can-i-get-descriptors-from-tor

It'll retrieve any missing files over rsync if someone tries to run without the files, it should be easier than them having to figure it out themselves.
