Noticed this as well on my install ... works in the demo site though.
My custom menu does not show up at all. If I resize the browser window to the smallest width then the dropdown menu does actually appear as intended however at the larger size the horizontal menu does not appear.
Had a quick look at the js for the demo and my install but could not see any differences. Even replaced my install css and js with the one from the demo site but still not working as it should. Adding code above to my js as temporary fix.

This is something that we're hoping to add. Right now the menu is only set up to display the first tier of the wordpress menu. As @westaussie noted, this does work with the smaller width, but this menu is actually hardcoded to always be there and is hidden via CSS on larger widths.

@chrisbarnes When you say "is only set up to display the first tier of the wordpress menu", what does that mean exactly? That it should show the pages but not child pages? Or that it only shows the Blog Name and Search box (at full width) with the smaller width displaying as per expected?

Currently the top nav just shows the pages and not the child pages. When the site is viewed on a device with a narrow width, this nav converts into a drop down menu. I'm hoping to get this feature working with our rollout of v2.0 of bootstrap.

Check out the new version we just posted - this has been addressed.
