Thanks Stefan, I too would like to be able to use arq_restore to test my backups with the new config files. I am seeing the same "restore error: Line 1: Document is empty" issue as Rob.

Just adding my vote for a version of arq_restore that is compatible with current the archive format.

I am also receiving the "restore error: Line 1: Document is empty" message.

I tested the restore utility and found the same error "restore error: Line 1: Document is empty"

I think this is an important project and would like to see it kept up. If I knew objective-c, I'd offer to help fix it myself. Since I'm not, I AM willing to pledge some money if that would help get this project "caught up" enough to read current archives.

Stefan, do you think it's realistic to use something like a kickstarter, pledgie, or other fundraising effort to help pay for an objective-c developer's time or are these changes only you know how to make?

Isn't this the same issue as #6 ? Or is arq_restore also broken for S3 backups?
