Actually, for my purpose of "put configuration in /etc so that morty.service can be left untouched" you can go even simpler than adding support for a configuration file. It would already be enough if you allowed specifying the secret key and the listen address via environment variables. Because then in morty.service one could say:

EnvironmentFile=/etc/morty/config

And in /etc/morty/config we could have something like:

MORTY_KEY=123456
MORTY_LISTEN=127.0.0.1:3000

And then morty would also check MORTY_KEY and MORTY_LISTEN in case these values have not been set by the -key and -listen command line parameters, respectively.

Just an idea in case you think that support for a full blown configuration file format would be overkill for morty.

@josch thanks for packaging morty, I'm going to implement the env var support. Later, we can add a proper config file if we will have more settings option.
