I just realized when writing "filename000.bmp" it does in fact work.
Not a big deal. Just had the wrong expectation. Thanks for the reply.

I would love to take up this issue but it seems there is already zero padding when exporting frames?

I'm sorry if I am misinterpreting what you are asking but when exporting frames it seems to pad with 0s already, is the issue with frames greater than 999?

Let me know how I can help!

Hey I was wondering I would be able to be assigned this issue?

kristovloos avatar kristovloos commented on September 27, 2024

That's odd. When I choose export as.. and enter e.g. "filename.bmp", it creates
filename1.bmp, filename2.bmp, etc.

It might be my mistake, I'm testing this on the steam windows latest version. Is this an issue?

No worries, glad it's working for you.

Thanks @caspianlack for giving some support here, I'm closing this issue as Aseprite already support this (saving with frame000.png, or frame001.png, or doing things like output{frame001}.png in the CLI, etc.).
