Plain types in AssemblyScript is much more complicated. Nominal type emulation via brands doesn't solve this problem
from assemblyscript.
I (and very likely others) have thought of something similar, but as you and Max said, it doesn't solve assignability and the problem of operators returning the vanilla type, and it's not practical to use i32()
and .add()
everywhere; that's just too verbose.
