NavTex USB idea

I thought about it before, but never found a suitable IC that covers the required frequencies (490 and 518 kHz) and is still in production. So the radio portion may have to be built from discrete transistors etc. I'm not much of a radio buff, but if someone has a working design that they want to get turned into a dAISy-equivalent I'd be happy to collaborate.

PS: I don't think that the NASA NavTex receivers are overpriced, at least not compared to what other marine electronics vendors charge. :)

Now I think Nasa PC NavTex is not overpriced if I only get it to work. So far 9 hours and not a single NavTex message received.
