This is already done in the WIP Electron branch https://github.com/atlas-engineer/nyxt/tree/cl-electron-integration.
I don't see the point in rushing and deleting Qt right now, in between major releases. When #2989 is closed, and 4.0.0 is released, the Qt port will be gone.

No one distributes Nyxt with QtWebEngine. For someone who studies Nyxt's source code, it looks like the easiest way to have Nyxt running with Chromium's engine. We never know what a random and motivated individual may achieve over night. In that sense, I even tend to think that it wouldn't hurt to keep nyxt/qt
for prosperity, granted that we explicitly mention that it's abandon ware.

For someone who studies Nyxt's source code, it looks like the easiest way to have Nyxt running with Chromium's engine.
Given how much Qt port drifted away from the current state of things, implementing something on top of it would require a huge update effort to work with current Nyxt. Relying on our (underdocumented, but still well-structured) foreign-interface.lisp and renderer/gtk.lisp would be a better shot, because it shows a working approach with lots of problems encountered since Qt port already solved.
