PHPStorm calls it: Mark directory as exluded, this prevents indexing the directory, which is cool if you have aproject with many times the same vendors

Hmm. This would require the upstream tool we use to provide all the php magic - https://github.com/felixfbecker/php-language-server - support such a facility.

If it did we could potentially add support for it - right now though this kind of command isn't part of the language server protocol both sides of this use so it would have to be an extension.
