Date pickers not working in Chrome on Windows

The MDC team has hidden the selector button in Chrome.

There is an mdc-style datepicker https://www.npmjs.com/package/@aurelia-toolkit/mdc-datepicker which I personally use until Google implements its own.

I will try implementing the plugin you have suggested although it seems as though the documentation is incomplete or its missing various exports.
