do you have steam installed?, In require to play/host a server in H1-Mod you need to have steam installed.

Install this then execute procdump -mm h1-mod.exe and upload the file here. Also if there are any dumps in minidumps/ upload them aswell

This is caused by your antivirus (Avast) so uninstall it

I've tried disabling it completely, result doesn't change

Disabling it will not work, uninstall it. Windows Defender is good enough anyways

I don't know exactly but the dump shows that a dll from Avast (aswAMSI.dll) is loaded and is just going into a sleep loop or something

Confirmed. Avast throws h1mod into a infinite loop. Everything is working fine now

@fedddddd im having the same issue with the splash screen freeze without any antivirus, both torrented and steam version have this problem and after having verified files and reinstalled to an ssd, windows store version has no issues

THIS CAN BE FIXED WITHOUT UNINSTALLING AVAST.

You have to go in the avast settings under general > blocked & allowed apps then in the list of allowed apps add every .exe from you game folder.

Then go into exceptions > add advanced exception and add your game folder.

This worked for me and i hope it works for everyone else because you should never uninstall your antivirus and leaves your pc vulnerable.
