This is probably something to do with SSR. It's on my todo list to test component for SSR support more thoroughly.
It's not a solution, but a possible workaround is to wrap the VToggle component in Gridsome's <ClientOnly> component so the server does not try to render it.
Can you try that and let me know if it works?

Looks like that worked fine.
I'm still a bit confused though. When I copy/paste the VToggle component (and the randomString function for it) into my code, there's no issue. Where is the addStyle function even coming from?

I'm not sure why it works when you copy/paste, but the addStyle function is probably the result of the Rollup bundling the original source. I'm going to close this issue as it's still part of my other task of looking into SSR support better.
