What you probably have is the removed object is getting orphaned vs removed, and you need your MyObject to have the ID of MyChild to avoid this.

If that doesn't work you'll have to probably have to do this manually some how. I've run into scenarios which I need to use AfterMap, because of how new entities get generated. I have to find entity and associate it with another relation, but both relations are valid at the same time.

Is there not a way to get the .EqualityComparison method to not remove the items from the list if not found? Or maybe get it to search other lists in the object before removing the item if not found?

Or is this something that i need to tell AutoMapper to do instead? Like some sort of .FindUsing method??

No there is not. Like AutoMapper the lists should have matching objects on the other end. All AM.Collections does it reuse the list and updated/insert/delete as needed for the ORM to recognize the changes, but the same resulting list is achieved.

This sounds more like a custom logic thing that I think the user should have to configure themselves.

I handled this using the .BeforeMap method in the end and working out where the object was and moving it before mapping it
