I am going to assign this issue to me, as I think it would interesting to built and I also think plugins might be useful to expand autopub more... I might have some time to work on it over the next few days
from autopub.
I've have never done something like this, but from what I've seen pluggy seems the way to go :D
I guess the final outcome should be that we can do this:
pip install autopub autopub-tweet
and it should work without configuration (other than the secrets for twitter)
from autopub.
I also think plugins might be useful to expand autopub more
100%
maybe the pre-release feature can be implemented via plugins.
We could also allow plugins to
- customize versioning (for example for using CalVer)
- use a different changelog format
- publish to other platforms (ie code artifact)
from autopub.
I noticed those automated Twitter posts and instantly fell in love with them, and ever since that day I've been meaning to reach out and suggest we add that capability to AutoPub post-haste. So thank you for beating me to it and suggesting it!
I'm all for adding plugin capability to AutoPub, and automated posts would be a great first plugin. Perhaps via Pluggy? Any other suggestions?
