I tried 3.1 (not 3.1.3) and I have 3G. I think it was since the IPSW is used was hacktivated, that is why. Thanks for your help, and thanks for the alloc8 exploit and ipwndfu tool!!!

Your baseband firmware is probably not compatible with iOS 3.1.3.

Can you restore to stock iOS 4.1 IPSW and see if you get service? This one is still signed, simply restore to it in iTunes.

I just was on 4.1, it worked, had service

after that I downgraded to 3.1.3, and it works other than that.

It knows I have 1 voicemail, but cannot listen to it

What are digits 3-5 in your serial number?

Trying making a pwnagetool IPSW that is not hacktivated, just found out that one was. Dont know if it will make a difference, but why not try at least

Thanks for the report. If you do more restores and determine if hacktivation causes this problem, or if it is something else, let me know.
