Possible solution:
As mentioned in the previous issue, the IP address 169.254.169.254 is the Azure Instance Metadata Service (IMDS) on the VM or container. You need to assign the user-assigned identities to your VM or container before using it. If curl stops working, you need to work with Azure Support to take a look at the VM or container. Azure CLI is simply a client tool which uses user-assigned identity on the VM or container.

If you are receiving an error using curl, this suggests that Managed Identity is not turned on. Please see these docs on managed identity:

• Configure managed identities for Azure resources on an Azure VM using Azure CLI
• Sign in with a managed identity

If you encounter difficulties while setting up managed identity, you may create a support ticket and a support engineer will help you with it.
