Brian Johnson's Projects
Concise, easily-deployable SQLite databases created in python can be used to support all sorts of storage and querying needs. In this example, I create a modest, 21-table database to store college transcript, demographic, and transfer data from several disparate sources in order to speed identification of particular cohorts for analysis.
This repository contains Stata code for creating event history models focused on student persistence at a study community college. It also contains Stata code used to create the balanced data panel on which the models were fit.
Student enrollment histories can be complex. Sequence mining (implemented here in R) can shed light on frequent course-taking patterns and sub-patterns that other descriptive approaches can miss.
This repository includes Python code used in updating, fixing, and maintaining historical data files for an educational institution.
