Cannot reproduce, but try to check if session is started with next code: if(!session_id()) session_start();

Also try to add ini_set('display_errors', true); before error_reporting(E_ALL);. May be there is some PHP error..

If you're using PHP >= 5.4 then try to use this code to detect session is started. Also pull last php-console master code.

    if(PHP_VERSION >= '5.4' ? session_status() != PHP_SESSION_ACTIVE : !session_id()) {
        session_start();
    }
