The current logic is actually correct, if you want to "Get the latest published version". The backend automatically sorts by timestamps descending.
Have we actually observed this returning the incorrect version? If not, let's roll forward with what we have. To actually clear this up, I think that we should have some better graphql queries and think about it a little bit more.
