Hi @vanabel,

It seems like it's possible to publish on WordPress self-hosted sites via through a plugin named Jetpack, but I haven't tested it yet. In fact, I would be glad if you could test it for me...

Here is more information, but not much explanation.

I would love the way by applying the IFTTT, which make me publish post through StackEdit->Blogger->WP

It's not working for me. I have a self-hosted WordPress site with Jetpack, but it keeps coming back with an error whenever I try to publish to it.

FWIW, the JSON API, called WP-API, is supposed to land in WordPress core in 4.1, which could be a way in for publishing from StackEdit to WordPress. I would LOVE that feature.

I got it to work if I send HTML instead of Markdown, but I'm using Jetpack's Markdown editor, so I'm not sure why Markdown doesn't work. I can't seem to get Front Matter stuff to work at all though, so it gets published immediately. I'd rather not have it publish right away.

@joezimjs Jetpack's Markdown editor saves the Markdown-formatted text in a separate field (post_content_filtered), which could explain why it's not working for you.

That's how all Markdown editors work on Wordpress. If you're able to send markdown to a Wordpress.com site, there should be no reason I can't send it to a self-hosted Wordpress site.

Not exactly, WP-Markdown converts the HTML to Markdown on the fly and back again, and doesn't save any Markdown to the DB at all, only HTML. Though I don't know the inner workings of StackEdit, if it's exporting Markdown to the post_content field, it's not going to work right. If that makes sense.

Closing as too old.
